One of the 'secrets' of my success in longer events. It takes me 4 seconds to slam a 350-calorie Ensure in each transition. You gotta keep the fire stoked - 6/20/2009

Teams/Sponsors

In 2010, I will again be representing two different teams. For the first time, I will compete in multi-sport events as a member of TeamKattouf and will continue to compete in pure running events as a member of the Fleet Feet Sports team. TeamKattouf is the brainchild of multi-sport coach Rick Kattouf. Although I am far from excelling at all events and distances, the variety that I put into my race schedule is a true testament to my love of endurance sports. Regardless of the event, I do my best to represent all my sponsors. You may see me wearing a TeamKattouf hat in a running race, or Fleet Feet socks in a triathlon. Hopefully, if you do see me in a race it's not because you're passing me.

I am a firm believer in trying to give back to my sponsors in all ways possible. I don't just "take the money and run"...well, I guess figuratively...I do...

Fleet Feet SportsThe lead sponsor of my running team. Fleet Feet isn't just a great store - it's filled with great people. Two of my good friends bought the store here in Greenville a few years ago and have been instrumental in making running fun.
TeamKattouf CoachingJust because an athlete is really good - doesn't mean they know how to coach. Rick brings not only his athletic accolades to the table but his knowledge of nutrition and physiology. Whether it's running your first mile…or finishing an Ironman, Rick has the tools to take you there.
Rudy ProjectRudy Project has been a fantastic sponsor for me for many, many years with top-notch eyewear and helmets designed for my kind of performance. You'll see their time-shaving aero helmets and/or glasses in all of my competition photos this past year.
GarminGarmin products and Garmin Connect are nothing special…just the greatest workout tracking tool! If you ain't using GPS technology then you're wasting a lot of time guessing. Want to do a 10-mile run with half-mile efforts? Set your Garmin to auto-lap every half-mile and just run…it doesn't matter which way…just start runnin'…

GO MagazineThe South Carolina upstate was starving for a publication designed for active people. Enter GO Magazine. I consider them an honorary sponsor - and so should everyone who participates in endurance sports and fitness. Because really, it takes institutions like this to move our lifestyle forward.
Upstate Traithlon ClubNot a sponsor in the traditional sense - but without the support of a great club, there would be no great sport. I am a proud member and supporter of the Upstate Triathlon Club
Greenville Track ClubNot a sponsor in the traditional sense - but without the support of a great club, there would be no great sport. I am a proud member and supporter of the Greenville Track Club
